harassment in the workplace is commonplace in these days. It has rather grown to be a real headache for employees who suffer harassment either at the hands of the employer or the colleagues. Harassment may be defined as creation of conditions where an employee cannot function to his or her best. Harassment may refer to verbal abuse, spreading of rumours, offensive comments targeted at a particular person. Sexual harassment is even more serious. Owing to the increasing number of such incidents it is necessary to take severe steps in order to put an end to it.
