Selecting Medical School Programs - Primary Care Or Research?

When you are selecting for your medical school programs, you are probably going to be stuck at choosing between primary care programs or research programs. Now, research programs are much more theoretical, which primary care programs follow a more practical approach. With research programs, the focus is more on discovery, and in primary care it is about implementation. If you are planning to open a physician clinic, then primary care is better because these will give you better contacts with patients. But if your aim is more academic in nature, the research medical school programs will be much better for you.
