Using a crate to train your dog might be the right thing to do, if your dog is a small puppy. Do not think of crate training dog if yours is a huge one year old Alsatian for instance. It would be difficult for you to even think of buying a crate that you can fit your dog into. Doing crate training dog ensures that your puppy does not go all over the house but will limit all his movements to the crate or to the immediate area around it.
