Taking a chance

Sometimes we get trapped in our own circumstances, surrounded by our own losses, and we need something to pull us out of where we are. I was there. I’m disabled, and have been for years now, and for a long time I spent a lot of time at home, and didn’t get out much. I felt incomplete and broken, but I knew that it couldn’t continue like that. I needed to make a decision and change my life somehow or die this way. Sometimes you just have to take that chance, and I did. I went out and took a look at what was available for electric mobility scooters. It didn’t take mt long to decide that it was the way to go. One of the fears I had was that I would not be able to control it, and end up either messing it up, or other things, but I decided ultimately it was worth the chance. Where I was . . . that was not living. Where I am is much closer still, but I just wish I didn’t waste all that time isolating myself. Well it makes me appreciate now much more anyway.
