The abnormal curve of cervical kyphosis
July 21st, 2008 by admin
My father was trying to explain to me the basics of the spine. Normally the cervical spine curves a little inwards and this is known as lordosis. But when it happens otherwise the condition is cervical kyphosis. The larger the outward curve the bigger the problem. He explained that there are many reasons for this – effects of previous spinal surgery, ageing process degenerating the inter-vertebral disc, congenital process or one is born with it, accidents, growth of tumor, radiation therapy etc. The symptoms vary according to severity to acute pain. Both young and old can become victims of Cervical Kyphosis.
