Instruments used in blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty uses small incisions that are hidden within natural skin folds, where various amounts of excess skin, fat and muscle are removed. Blepharoplasty procedures are performed by surgeons with specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and they are most commonly performed in outpatient facilities or in private professional offices. Blepharoplasty may be performed with a laser instrument, and the intense energy produced by the laser causes blood to coagulate, which may diminish bleeding and swelling during and after the operation.
