I get a No Disk pop up Window

I had lent my computer to a friend for some days because it is a better computer for games. After I've got mine back, it is now having some problems and I am not sure what is really to be done. When I start it up I get a No Disk pop up Window - which also occurs when I'm running a program. While I am browsing internet for a few hours, IE freezes and then the computer must be restarted. I have a lot of spyware programs installed but I don't really know how to fix it. A big THANKS in advance
