· Always stay within required speed limits - It has been observed that Gas mileage reduces fast when speed exceeds 60 miles per hour.
· Never drive aggressively - You can easily increase your gas mileage up to five percent by driving gently.
· Avoid excessive idling - Make sure you turn off the engine if you expect a long wait. It will unnecessarily cost you more money, waste fuel, pollute the air etc.
· Try and combine the entire task - Numerous short trips can burn twice as much fuel as one trip would, in covering the same distance.
· Try and use cruise control and overdrive gears whenever proper - It can really improve the fuel economy of your car specially when you’re driving on a highway.
