Parrot Is Perfect Choice for First Time Pet Owner

When I moved out on my own, I decided it was time to get a pet. I just had to decide what animal would be best suited for my lifestyle. Because of my job I was away from home for most of the day, so a dog was definitely out of the question. Cats are relatively self-sufficient, but I didn’t like the thought of cleaning a litter box. The next day I went to a pet shop to see what they had available. After spending quite some time looking at fish, rodents, and various reptiles, I decided on the big green parrot sitting in the parrot cage by the register. He already has a ten word vocabulary and I can teach him more words. Parrots make great companions and I hope mine lives for a very long time.
