Speech Recognition in Biometrics Used by Banks

There are many things that can be accomplished over the phone when it comes to banking. People can transfer funds between accounts, pay bills and make other financial transactions. With identity theft on the rise, many of these banks are trying to tighten up their security to make their customers feel comfortable about their transactions. One of the latest trends in beefing up the security is to use speech recognition in biometrics. This type of program requires the customers to record a speech pattern template into the system. Once that template is recorded, the customers have to speak a password or phrase into the phone to access their account features.
