Sleep Helps Kids Stay Healthy and Active

I never knew how important sleep was until I became a parent. I don’t think I got a full night sleep until my twins were in elementary school! Sleep is really important for kids as well though and studies show that children who get ten and a half hours of sleep or more a night are almost 15% less likely to become obese as adults. My parenting tip is to take the television set OUT of your kid’s room because it makes it really difficult for your child to wind down at night. In addition, you don’t have as much control over what they’re watching during the day.
