Remembering Simple Times, Can’t I Go Back?

I remember when I was young and just newly married. It used to be so much easier I think. Yet when I talk to my elderly landlord she tells me it is the all relevant. I don’t agree. I could use my antenna for my television years ago. Today I need satellite because when I bought the digital converter, and sadly it did not work. Thank You very much, Uncle Sam. And there was no computer. We had real people instead of recordings. Our jobs were plenty. We didn’t seem to have problems with credit card debt either. Because it was so much simpler. Did you ever notice how every appliance you plug in has to have a light on it to show you it is on or off. There should be a law against that. Hey if my television doesn’t have a picture I am pretty sure I didn’t turn it on. Do I need to know my coffee maker is waiting patiently for me to come use it? I know this only because of the blue light showing. After I must be too dumb to realize whether it is plugged in two feet away or no. So is it a wonder, with no jobs, advanced electronics, and needless wasted electricity draining our lives we have debt problems. I just find it ironic that I seem to be the only one who notices it.
